Scotland - student’s presentation
Every presentation includes writing an essay by a student on an agreed topic, revision by a teacher, distribution among the students in the class, reading and talking about it in the class and projecting photos. It is always fun activity for everybody in the class.
Scotland has coasts on the North Sea to the east, the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Irish Sea to the south-west. Scotland was once an independent country and has its own monarch. Since 1999 Scotland has had its own parliament, it was devolved from British Parliament which still controls many things regarding Scotland. The flag of Scotland is blue with a white diagonal cross. This is cross of Saint Andrew, who is the patron saint of Scotland. The capital city of Scotland is Edinburgh on the east coast, but the biggest city is Glasgow on the west coast.
I was very excited all over Scotland. It is a country full of history, lakes and beautiful scenery. You are going miles and miles through highlands and there are no houses, no people. There are also many places that are mystical at least for me.
On the other hand the weather is harsch, but people are smiling and looking happy. But if a person does not live there for a long time, he can hardly judge how people live here.
Interesting is also the fact that from the south to Edinburg you always see the British and Scottish flag and futher north are only the Scotish flags. I most liked the town St.Andrew and Scotlands nature. I can recommed to everyone to visit this nice country.
