The 20^th of January, 2019 is the last day when you can visit an exhibition about Hana Podolská (born Johanna Vošahlíková).She is a famous Czechoslovak fashion designer and businesswoman from the interwar¹ time.The exhibition takes place in the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague.

1918 – 1938:
Czechoslovakia is very rich, it is a time called² the First Republic.A young dressmaker³ starts to work for the most important women of Czechoslovakia.Hana Po-dolská (*1880 – †1972) comes from Merzhausen in Germany.She has a nice personality⁴ and she is an expert in fashion.All rich and fashionable⁵ women go to her salon, for example President Beneš’s wife Hana, the automobile racer Eliška Junkova or actress Adina Mandlová.

She has a timeless⁶ style.She is called Czech “Coco Chanel.” Hana Podolská doesn’t design the patterns⁷.She always starts her day at 5 a.m.and goes to every fitting⁸.Podolská is charming and elegant even⁹ when she is very old.
