Článek byl vydán 5. září 2016
Labor Day in the USA is celebrated the 1st Monday in September. Let’s take a look why it is celebrated in September and not in May which is common for the rest of the world and more just read about it here.

The Labor Day is celebrated 5 September this year. One of the reasons for choosing to celebrate this on the 1st Monday in September and not on May 1, which is common in the rest of the world, was to add a holiday in the long gap between Independence Day and Thanksgiving.Another one is linked with special significance for the labor movement in that country.
The first Labor Day was held in 1882.Its origins stem from the desire of the Central Labor Union to create a holiday for workers who built the country. It became a federal holiday in 1894.
