SPRING IN THE GARDEN.
In the spring, the Earth1 moves closer2 to the Sun.There is more daylight3.The Earth is getting warm.Plants are „springing forth”, and that is why we call this season4 “spring”.
The 21st of March is the first day of spring.It is also the day of March equinox.Spring also means that plants are growing again.People enjoy their gardens after a long winter.People often want to stay outside and be active.We can say that they have “spring fever”.
Trees are not green at the end of March, but some early plants start to flower5, for example snowdrops6.You can also plant vegetables in the spring.There are many other flowers and colours in the garden this time e.g.tulip7, daffodil8 and magnolias.They shine9 in the garden until the end of spring.
