The United Arab Emirates

In the class the essay about this country was distributed by Milena to others and then we projected lovely photos with Milena’s enriching comments. It was a beautiful experience for all students in the group. The content of the essay is attached bellow.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES                                                                    

At the end of February I visited Emirates with my friend Katy. We flew six hours and landed in Dubaj. There the bus waited for us. We went to the hotel in the area of Sahrjah.

The next day we visited the capital of the Emirates, Abu Dhabi.  First we visited the well-known race track Formule 1 and the Ferrari park. One of the largest and most beautiful mosques in the world – the mosque Shejka Zayeda was a very interesting visit.  We stopped by the 7 stars hotel called Emiorates Palace.

The trip „Desert safari“ was very adrenalin. It was a ride through desert in the modern jeep. We ended at bedouins camp with the arab barbecue and the performance of a belly dancer and a dervish.

One day we spent at the Indian ocean. When we returned, we stopped by a tradicional market. There were mountains around with a special red colour.

The Fifth day we visited the town Dubai. Our Journey started at the museum of Arab culture. This museum is located in the historical fortress Al Fahidi, which is almost 200 years old. We used the ferry and than we visited stores with gold, jewellery and leather.

The visit of  the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa, was very exciting. We were lifted up to the 125 floors. The interesting for us was, that the elevators are made by our republic in  Pardubice.

We also visited the world‘s largest shopping center „Dubaj Mall“ with artifical waterfalls and sea aquarium.

After dinner we crossed back to Dubaj Mall, around there is an artifical lake. We saw there performances - singing and dancing fontains. I don’t have photos of  this performance because my camera battery was gone. The last day we took a taxi and visited the second- smaller market Dubai and its ski center.
