There are over 12,000 reports of UFOs, unidentified flying objects, most of those sightings were explained. However, hundreds of sightings still remain unidentified to this day. In 1952, the U.S. Air Force starts Project Blue Book to analyse those strange objects in the sky.

Josef Allen Hynek is a scientist2 who works for Project Blue Book.He is the son of Czech immigrants.He is a professor of physics3.
When people see a UFO in the sky, it is usually a plane, light or another known4 object.But they get confused and think that it is a UFO.But there are also many unexplained sightings, like the strange objects above the city of Washington in 1952.
Professor Hynek doesn’t believe in unknown5 flying objects at the beginning.But later he says that some things cannot be explained6 with science7.Professor Hynek is called “the father of ufology”.He is even the author of the word “UFO”.He sees ufology as a new type of science.
